This weekend I took a trip to Kansas City to help prepare and celebrate my cousin’s graduation. Nicole, the recent high school graduate, is one of my closest cousins because I’ve been visiting my aunt’s house every summer since she was born. I was more than happy to help prepare food, clean and to help celebrate such an occasion. It was exhausting work, but it was well worth it. She is going to do great things in life and probably be the next all star basketball player at Truman State University. I see great things from here. I love being able to spend time with my family, it’s when I feel I’m at my best. I’m always more than willing to help my family out, and I was happy to rise to this occasion. We were told we had the best food as far as grad parties went that day, which really said something considering we pretty much made most the food from scratch. No better way to celebrate such an accomplishment than by eating good food and being with good company right? I agree.
The picture is of some graduation ducks that someone brought to the massive party we had. So cute, and of course one of many photo moments I had this weekend. There will be more photos this week. Until then, enjoy!
